We love a Cake Smash
Let’s Smash that Cake!

Join the craze and have you one year smash a cake. Sounds fun right? Our cake smash sessions are fun and we have so much fun capturing them. Your baby only turns one once and there is no better way to celebrate than by having a CAKE SMASH!
What is a Cake Smash?
This craze started in the US and has now spread to the UK and beyond. A cake smash is where a one year old gets messy by playing with a cake and a photographer gets to captures the fun moment. It’s a bit messy but it’s so much fun.

Yes our Rose Belle studio is air-conditioned. So your sweet babies will not overheat and the parents will feel more relaxed and chilled (excuse the pun).

Around 7 to 10 days after birth and up to 28 days old. After that your baby is not considered a newborn.
The first couple of weeks are such a beautiful time for mother and baby. You’ve just given birth to life and you’re suddenly a parent. It’s important to capture those first couple of magical weeks when your newborn is so new, tiny and precious. Yes, we are massively biased, but we believe that capturing memories of your newborn is something you will never ever regret.
It’s 100% safe. As babies and children have been photographed for generations using flashes in studios and there have been no reports or cases of eye damage. So flashes are perfectly safe for babies.
It’s never too late for a baby photoshoot. You will never regret having photos of your baby. The truth is that you can have your baby photographed at 1 month, 2 months or even 3 months old! We just recommend that it’s within the first couple of weeks.
Ideally between 26 and 34 weeks (7 to 8 months), when your baby bump is fully showing and is nice and round. Anytime after 8 months gets riskier and riskier, as you may deliver at anytime. So don’t leave it late.
It’s not easy picking a dress for a photoshoot, its very stressful. We recommend colours like white, cream, pastel blush colours, faint blues, khaki, tan and light purple.
There are no hard and fast rules, but flowing gowns are the best in our opinion. But ultimately it’s always best to wear what makes you feel comfortable.
Ideally he should keep his outfit as neutral as possible. Pastel or neutral colours like Tan, beige, Ivory, Cream, White and Grey. I recommend polo shirts, a buttoned shirt paired with jeans, khakis or neutral coloured shorts.
Ideally anywhere from 30 minutes up to and hour.
The best time to shoot is what photographers call the ‘golden hour’ or ‘magic hour’. This is when the sun is close to the horizon and creates a golden warm light, perfect for maternity shoots.
You and your family will treasure your maternity photos for a lifetime. You’ll be able to show your children what mama had to go through to bring them into the world. Trust us, it’s worth it!
Yes, the father should ALWAYS be in the pictures. Just remember one day your little one will want to see these pictures, so dad should be there.
go through to bring them into the world. Trust us, it’s worth it!
